Tailgate Food Distributions

Monthly, Second Harvest Food Bank, with the help of local volunteers, distributes fresh & packaged food to those in need via a pull-through tailgate.  Especially significant is the volunteer representation from the Henry County Youth Center.

Bridges Out of Poverty

Workshop offered 8/07 providing human service workers and community members key lessons in working with individuals and families experiencing poverty.  Sponsored by Henry County United Fund, Henry County Community Foundation, Henry County United Fund, and Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network-East.

Statewide many United Funds or United Ways walk hand-in-hand with their local Community Foundations.  We communicate information to avoid duplicity, we talk allocations versus grants to better equip our agencies and organizations to further their missions, and we co-sponsor many events for the betterment of the community.
